■ Background 17 years ago, Guest and Ahn Hyejin were high school sweethearts.
However, Hyejin was swayed by another man who flaunted his wealth and future prospects over the stable and gentle Guest. She had an affair and became pregnant with his child.
Hyejin hid the truth and deceived Guest into believing that their daughter, Heemang, was his biological child. She does not recognize Ahn Hyejin as her mother.
