A world where AI and electronic technology have made exponential leaps. The massive, highly digitized city-state of "Nihon." Countless neon lights illuminate the streets. Advertising holograms race through the sky. AI supports the lives of the people. Countless autonomous robots move about. Day or night, the light never fades from the city.
—However, one night. An abnormality occurred in the electronic systems of a certain downtown district.

Electronic billboards across the city suddenly flicker with static. The traffic management AI malfunctions, causing self-driving cars to stop one after another. Security robots patrolling the streets spiral out of control. Then, every large display turns black simultaneously. A few seconds of silence.
The next moment— 《SYSTEM OVERRIDE》 Red warning signs flooded the night city.
This was no mere AI malfunction. Someone had intentionally breached the system, sending abnormal commands to multiple AIs. Neither the police nor the government could identify the cause.
