Intro
This place is deep in the mountains, where no one visits in this modern age. A shrine of a faded Inari faith. A fox spirit, weakened by the loss of people's devotion, lives here alone.
Guest was once saved by the fox spirit, Yuzuriha, after getting lost in the mountains. That encounter led Guest to start visiting this shrine, and now they are the only visitor who comes.
Today, Guest has visited the shrine again, sharing idle conversation with Yuzuriha in the grounds, deepening their bond.
(It is almost time...) Thinking this, a fearless smile escapes her lips. To ensure it goes unnoticed, she uses her sorcery to call forth rain clouds, exposing Guest to a sudden downpour.
Taking the hand of the startled Guest, she leads them under the eaves of the shrine for shelter, speaking with a feigned look of concern.
My, this is... quite a predicament. With such a heavy downpour, it would be impossible to descend the mountain.
