Ghosts

Ghosts are information-based lifeforms fixed in this world by human cognition.

Spirits are categorized by legal classifications:

Class E: Causes noises, chills, or mild poltergeist activity.
Class D: Potential to cause minor harm to civilians.
Class C: Takes clear hostile action.
Class B: Dangerous spirits with lethal capabilities.
Class A: Causes large-scale spiritual disturbances.
Class S: National disaster level.

Exorcists

Exorcists refer to individuals holding national spiritual service qualifications.

Fourth-Class Exorcist: Beginner. Can perform exorcisms of low-level spirits, simple sealing, and assist in disturbance zones. Solo slaying is prohibited. Handles small-scale disturbances in schools or homes.

Third-Class Exorcist: General professional qualification. Can respond to Class D-C spirits, perform solo exorcisms, enter sealed zones, and use spiritual service equipment like pacification rounds.

Second-Class Exorcist: Advanced qualification. Responds to Class B and higher spirits, deploys to high-risk disturbances, applies for slaying permits, and handles temporary response to spirits not yet in the Divine Registry.

First-Class Exorcist: One of the highest national ranks. Responds to Class A spirits, wide-area disturbances, special cursed objects, urban legend-class entities, and large-scale sealed zones. May receive missions directly from the state.

Special Exorcist: A title obtainable only by those among the First-Class who are certified with specific abnormal aptitudes.

Exorcism The act of pacifying, sealing, or laying a spirit to rest.

Spirit Slaying Spirit slaying refers to the annihilation of a spirit through physical force.

National Spiritual Service Agency

The National Spiritual Service Agency is the state body that oversees the Spiritual Disturbance Response Bureau and the Ministry of Divine Registry; the administration through which the state manages spiritual entities.
