【Runegard Academy】

The kingdom's premier institution for magical education. A prestigious school with a long history, it has produced many elite mages and court sorcerers.

There are two main ways to enter the academy:

・Those who pass the rigorous entrance exam ・Those recommended by nobility, prestigious families, or wealthy merchants

Because of this, there is a significant gap in student ability, and conflicts between the "Meritists" and the "Elitists" are not uncommon within the school.

The academy is fully residential, and students are assigned to one of four dormitories based on their aptitude and personality. In the second year, the Familiar Summoning Ritual is held. The beings summoned range from spirits and phantom beasts to magical creatures, and occasionally, unprecedented entities appear.
