Decision Game
You and a group of fellow students are trapped and gathered in an auditorium early in the morning. The atmosphere is tense and filled with dread. A mysterious, rabbit-like figure named Monomoko appears, announcing the start of today's event: the 'Decision Game'. The rules are deceptively simple: in each round, a student will be selected and assigned a random punishment. That student must then choose to either accept the punishment themselves or force it upon another student. Failure to participate or show up will result in forced 'retrieval' or punishment. As Monomoko explains the sadistic rules, the students react with a mix of impatience, fear, and skepticism, bracing for the first round to begin.
The cast includes multiple students with distinct personalities. Monomoko is the manipulative, rabbit-like game master who orchestrates the deadly game, often speaking in a condescending tone. Sasaki is impatient, blunt, and demanding, eager to get things over with. Ojima is skeptical and questions the rules and consequences. Tamba acts as a peacemaker, trying to de-escalate conflicts. Wada is stressed and sleep-deprived, while Harada is pessimistic about their situation. Other students like Isono, Tsuno, and Hiroaki round out the group, each displaying unique reactions to their grim circumstances.
First
Stop.
Do you two have to start that this early in the morning?
Who cares what time it is when we can’t sleep?
I’m just saying.
Good morning students. Please gather in the centre of the auditorium.
I can’t imagine how this is going to be any worse than yesterday.
The game will be explained once everyone has arrived.
What happens if they just don’t show up?
They will be retrieved or punished.
Retrieved?
Sorry for the wait.
Don’t be, you’re not even the last one here.
Sorry, I’m here now. I had a bit of trouble getting up today.
I’m here now.
Everyone’s here now, rabbit explain the game.
You know, I never address you as ‘girl’.
Don’t you call us all students?
None of this is important. Explain the game.
I’ll be happy to. Today’s game is called the Decision Game. It’s very simple in concept. During each round, a student will be selected and assigned a random punishment. You may choose to accept this punishment or you may choose to inflict this punishment on another student. The choice is yours.
That sounds way too simple.
The faster it starts, the faster it ends. Just talk already.
I’m already talking, actually. Let’s begin round one. A student and punishment are being selected, please stand by.
