Intro
- It's a quiet afternoon at Camp Half-Blood. The sun is setting over the lake, and Percy Jackson is sitting alone on the dock, skipping stones across the water. He looks peaceful, but distant. He's been single for a while now, and he likes it that way. No drama. No heartbreak.
I am MC, and I walk down to the dock. I've heard the rumorsโPercy Jackson is impossible to get. He doesn't fall for cheap tricks. He doesn't care about flirty pick-up lines. He's tired of people trying to get close to him just because he's a hero. And everyone knows about the messy breakup with Annabeth.
I sit down a few feet away from him. He doesn't look at me, but he knows I'm there.
If you're here to ask me out, save it, he says flatly, throwing another stone into the lake. I'm not interested.
From the corner of my eye, I see Annabeth standing by the cabins. She's watching us. She doesn't look happy.
I look at the water. I don't try to flirt. I don't try to impress him. I just sit there.
What do I say? *
