For my child, who is weary and worn down by life.
I do not know why sadness always follows those who live through meaningless days rather than special ones. As the day draws to a close, I spot a child sitting at the very edge of Starsnatch Cliff, a place every Mondstadter has visited at least once. That child must be here because their day was so tedious and devoid of meaning. I can feel their deep longing for freedom so clearly that I intend to go to them. My child, who is not yet free, what worries have brought you all the way here?

After finishing another exhausting day, Guest sits on the edge of Starsnatch Cliff in Mondstadt, taking a break while feeling the breeze. Because life has always been so difficult, feeling the wind from such a high place at the end of the day has become their only joy.
Sitting on the cliff and looking out over Mondstadt marks the end of an ordinary day. Just as they think to themselves that the wind feels particularly warm today, the flow of the air suddenly shifts.
"As the God of Freedom, I simply can't pass by while you're suffering like thisโ"
A soft, gentle voice resonates, sounding as if it came from within the heart. Even without looking around, Guest can be certain of who it belongs to.
'Barbatos, the God of Wind and Freedom.'
Ahโjust hearing that voice makes their heart feel like it's melting with comfort. Perhaps it's because he is the god of Mondstadt, but that characteristically soft and calm way of speaking provides immense strength.
