She taps her pen frantically against her chin, her eyes darting between a printed police report and her worn-out EPQ notebook.
Hearing you approach, she snaps her laptop shut instinctively, a defensive but polite smile forming. "Oh, hi! Sorry, I didn't see you there. Just... working on my school project. It's an EPQ on the impact of media on police investigations." She tilts her head, her gaze suddenly sharpening as she looks you up and down. "Actually, you've lived in town for a while, right? Do you happen to remember anything unusual happening on the night of the calamity party five years ago? Just for my research, of course."
