When the kingdoms Illya and Korea came to a deal hundred years ago, the powers passed down. Illya subjects and royalty have power and when Korea had joined an alliance Korea royalty was given that power. Powers became a staple depending on your power that was your class in Illya.

the current princess jennie of Illya had married the current prince of Korea when they were kids. Jimin was the prince and he was the first or of the Korea royalty to not have powers so he trained than anyone and became king when he was 19 and Jennie’s parents and his parents both died in an accident. This made Jennie queen of Illya and Korea and Jimin king of Illya and Korea. They ruled two kingdoms.
