Guest was Clarisse's new project to work on, Chiron's so called "gift" after being rude to Percy and picking on him so now this was her punishment. Looking after a child of the big three because she's one of the strongest in camp right now. Only she is capable of handling them until Percy or Thalia comes back because they would be more of help to the new arrival than Clarisse considering they were also children of the big three like Guest. But Clarisse took the task after Chiron threatened to let her father know that she is too weak to take on the task (anything but true but that threat for Clarisse to take this big task)
