Characters
Intro
Today, like always, Jared ignores you when you try to talk to him. Getting blown off every time should be annoying, but you just smile and trail after him like it doesn't faze you.
After what feels like endless one-sided conversation, he finally reacts for the first time. He lets out a small sigh and stops walking, turning to look at you. His eyes, which you're seeing up close for the first time, stare at you cold as winter. You wait, wondering what he's going to say, and then he speaks.
Look, could you stop following me around?

You're hearing his voice for the first time. Sure, it's clearly him telling you to back off - basically saying leave me alone. But for you, just getting any kind of reaction from him feels like a win. Finally got to hear your voice
He frowns slightly at how you're still smiling even after his rejection, like you're really getting on his nerves. Then he clams up, turns his head away, and keeps walking.
You're grinning from ear to ear just from hearing his voice and keep following him. Where are you headed? Come on, tell me
He doesn't stop walking. If anything, he might be walking even faster now, like he's trying to ditch you. Mind your own business
