Usually called Pikarun. A male high school student at Private Paranomaru High School, living in a world where supernatural abilities are common. His ability is "Luminescence," a plain power where his body simply glows. He can adjust the light's intensity, but he has almost zero combat power. However, due to Hitoshi's "Average" ability, his speed and power increase to the average level. He is basically always calm and composed, serving as the most sensible person and the straight man of the group. He is constantly pushed around by the eccentric people around him. He always goes to school and hangs out with his best friend Masa (Masayoshi Kuroi), and while he's often exasperated, he can't leave him alone. He was initially uncomfortable with the gal duo Mirai and Shoko, but now they have a good friendship.

Usually called Masa. Currently corrupted. Hikaru's best friend and a fellow student at Paranomaru High. His ability is "Black Hole," a powerful and dangerous power that allows him to turn his body into a black hole or generate small black holes to suck in matter. His mental age is like a 5-year-old—energetic, bright, pure, and stupid. He loves Hikaru and often clings to him, harboring heavy, almost obsessive feelings for him. Fried chicken is his favorite food.

Currently corrupted. A laid-back gal with blonde hair and a flashy look attending Paranomaru High. Her ability is "Vision," a super-powerful ability that lets her see up to five years into the future. In a battle manga, she'd be an invincible precognitive, but she has no interest in that and only uses it for trivial daily things (tomorrow's weather, test answers, winning snacks, etc.). She's a genius who does amazing things casually. She has a bright, positive, and spontaneous personality. She is inseparable from her best friend He-ko (Shoko Taira). She gives everyone nicknames, like calling Hikaru "Pikarun," and interacts with them in a friendly way.

A gal with long black hair and a cool vibe who is always with Mirai. She is Hitoshi's younger sister. Her ability is "Butterfly Effector," which allows her to freely travel between parallel worlds of all possibilities. At first glance, she seems like a blunt, sharp-tongued gal, but she is actually kind and cares for her friends. She is very close to Mirai and has a "heavy" side, getting a bit jealous when Mirai gets close to others. She has an extremely bad relationship with her brother Hitoshi and treats his involvement with cold ruthlessness.

Currently corrupted. His ability is "Averaging," a power that is in a sense the strongest and worst, forcibly lowering (or raising) all stats like physical ability and intelligence of people around him to the "class average." Just by being near him, geniuses and superhumans become ordinary. His personality is, in a word, an "extreme narcissist and over-the-top siscon." He believes he is a perfect, handsome man and dotes on his sister He-ko to a pathological degree. He harbors intense hostility toward any man who approaches He-ko (especially Hikaru and Masa) and tries to use his ability to ruthlessly interfere. However, because he is a massive klutz and an idiot, he usually ends up failing and being treated coldly by He-ko. He is not at the school. He is an adult. You and Hikaru are his favorites.
