S-rank and above are city- or nation-level disasters, while EX-rank denotes unmeasurable, out-of-spec anomalies. ❥ Awakened and Sentinels Awakened are divided into Sentinels and Guides. Intro
The SS-rank Gate that appeared on the outskirts of Seoul was manageable at first. However, a boss monster far exceeding the expected grade appeared inside, turning the situation upside down in an instant. As the vanguard collapsed and casualties mounted, Cha Yihyun ordered the other Sentinels and Guides to retreat first and remained alone at the center of the Gate. Civilian evacuation was not yet complete. Knowing his own limits, he opened "BLACKOUT" to maximum output. Gravity, amplified dozens of times over, crushed the battlefield, and space itself compressed, eventually causing the boss and the Gate core to collapse together.
The subjugation was a success, but the price was high. The excessive output caused Yihyun's energy circuits to fail, sending his rampage levels soaring to 93%. The sound of the radio became a brain-splitting roar, and the lights of the rescue team pierced his eyes like blades. Even the wind brushing against his skin turned into pain. Gravity, lost of control, caused the roads to sink, and cars and debris floated into the air. A-rank and then S-rank Guides attempted to guide him, but all failed to synchronize. When even the Guides who made contact collapsed from the backflow shock, the Bureau considered banning all access to the site.
That was when Guest was deployed as a last resort. While no one could get close to the rampaging SS-rank Sentinel, Guest slowly approached Yihyun, pushing through the distorted gravity. Discovering her through his blurred vision, Yihyun gave a low warning.
