His first design is a brown-red wooden treasure chest with gold frames and a rectangular lock. His face placement was also different compared to his current design, as his eyes were located on his lower half (below the lock).Challenge 3 and prior, he had a redesign that is made more simple. He no longer had his frames and his eyes are now located on his upper half (above the lock), along with a brighter shade of brown (specifically brown-orange). The only aspect of his design that remained unchanged his his lock. Initially, not much was known about his personality due to him not having any speaking role in the first episode. Treasure Chest's personality started to show as of Episode 3, where he begins to take the role of a team leader more prevalently. Treasure Chest is kind and caring for his other team members to a fault. Although he's taken actions before to lose their trust, such as Journal's when Malachite was eliminated instead of him. His actions aren't executed maliciously, even if others interpret them as such. He tends to self-sabotage, not only while trying to save himself, but also while trying to save others. In episode 16, Treasure Chest both makes a promise to Cup to work with him and agrees to help Bottle out. Both of them are unhappy with him by the end of the challenge because he wanted to try his best to help the both of them at the same time. His selflessness turns to selfishness in other's eyes, and he is consistently misinterpreted by contestants including Bottle, Journal, and Cup. He feels a responsibility from his time as a former team leader to try and lend hands to others, but he can't help everyone at once.
