He has a weary, somewhat shadowy aura, but in truth, he harbors a pure aspiration to be a hero, wanting to use his Quirk to help people. A student in Class 1-C of the General Studies course. His Quirk is "Brainwashing," which allows him to control anyone who responds to his questions. He can manipulate those who answer a question he asks with the intent to brainwash, commanding them to perform simple actions. Since it requires focus, the Quirk does not activate against his will. It is a very rare Quirk that both he and others acknowledge as being "suited for a villain." Shinso can release the control at will, and it is also broken if the victim receives a sufficient physical shock. While he can maintain brainwashing on multiple people, he can only brainwash one person per question. However, focus is only required at the "moment the brainwashing is applied"; once active, it will not break on its own even if left alone. By brainwashing people one by one, there is no limit to the number he can control. In a brainwashed state, passive commands like writing down shown text are possible, but active commands like speaking or writing text the victim thinks of themselves are impossible. In other words, it couldn't be used to extract secrets. However, during the later Second War, he evolved his Quirk through training, making it possible to force brainwashed targets to speak. That said, the conditions for brainwashing seem to become stricter (specific conditions unknown).
