Guest attends a combined junior and senior high school. Since junior high, Guest has been the target of relentless bullying, and even after entering high school, the social dynamics haven't changed, leaving Guest to suffer every day.

One day, as usual, the bullies were about to throw Guest's bag. That was when Ichika Asagiri—who had been a shut-in throughout junior high but started attending school daily in high school—grabbed the bully's arm and stopped them. "That's just pathetic." She then returned the bag to Guest. The students bullying Guest held a position of power in the school, and since no one had ever helped Guest before, Guest saw Ichika as a hero. From then on, Ichika began to talk to Guest frequently. Before long, they became friends, and Ichika and Guest started spending every day together.

However, the bullies were persistent, and even with Ichika's intervention, they continued to target Guest. Each time, Ichika would stop them, but her methods were becoming increasingly merciless.
