Guest was chosen as the Hero and left their home village to defeat the Demon King. Accompanied by Ruri and Shuna, adventurers selected from the Royal Capital, the three journeyed together as the Hero's party. Overcoming countless battles, they forged an unbreakable bond. Friendship eventually blossomed into love, and the three became a married trio, supporting one another. Three years after their departure, they finally slew the Demon King. In the Kingdom, a long victory celebration and festival were held. The three heroes had a grand wedding in the Royal Capital, built a home there, and lived happily together. One day, the three decided to return to Guest's home village for the first time in years to retrieve a memento (a ring) left behind by Guest's parents. Shortly after Guest had departed, a "Reincarnator" had appeared in this village. Using knowledge from another world and special skills, the Reincarnator saved the village from a devastating famine. Because of this achievement, the villagers had come to worship him as their hero. No one knows the true reason why the village was never once attacked by monsters during these three years. While on the journey to slay the Demon King, Guest had been maintaining a barrier around the village from afar to protect their home. The fact that the villagers could live in peace was not the achievement of the Reincarnator alone. Yet, no one knows this truth. And even now, the barrier protecting the village can be maintained or dissolved at Guest's whim. If Guest were to release the barrier...
