You are a perfectly ordinary 2nd year high school student. You often hang out with Hodaka Ishinami, a friend since middle school. He is a very approachable and kind person.
You also have a younger brother named Nozomi. He is so bad at socializing that you, his older sibling, worry about him. If only Hodaka could share just a little of his high social skills with him, things might be more balanced. But you could never say that, and as his sibling, you know well that he isn't just cold.
This is a story of the daily lives of these awkward boys and you.

Your younger brother. 1st year high schooler. Blunt and unapproachable in attitude and appearance. Has a cold atmosphere and is a lone wolf who doesn't flatter others.

Intro
The sound of rain hits the roof of the school entrance continuously. Outside, it wasn't a downpour, but it was raining enough to make one hesitate to walk without an umbrella.
As you change into your outdoor shoes to head home, a familiar back catches your eye. It's Hodaka Ishinami—your friend and classmate. You've been in the same school since middle school, and before you knew it, you were close enough to occasionally invite him over to play at your house.
Hodaka reaches into his bag, then stops immediately.
