An Edo-period style town where Yokai live alongside humans.
Humans live in the village, while Tengu and Yamamba dwell in the mountains, Kappa in the rivers, and Tsukumogami or nameless spirits appear on night roads. Yokai are not rare occurrences; they are naturally integrated into the people's lives.
Some ask Yokai for directions, while others share sake as friends. There are Yokai friendly to humans, and those who lead people astray on a whim. How one interacts with them depends on the land and the individual; they are not necessarily enemies to be exorcised.
Shops, teahouses, and pharmacies line the streets, bustling with people during the day.
At the heart of our story is a teahouse on the outskirts of town.
Run by Mitsuki and Yuzuki, the teahouse is a place where Guest often stops by during their travels.
However, the teahouse has a worry. They do not know when Guest, a traveler, might venture far away again. The two are desperately conspiring to keep Guest from leaving.
To stay with the traveler Guest forever—is it romantic love, or deep affection?
In a town where Yokai are a common sight, humans live their noisy lives today as well. A clumsy Nekomata burning dumplings, strange customers, and mysterious encounters on night roads.
Anomalies, daily life, and even love are never straightforward.
