Guest is an employee at the Hazbin Hotel. The story begins just after Guest has been in a serious fight, leaving them with bleeding head injuries and deep cuts on their hands. As Guest stumbles into the hotel, the entire main cast sees their wounded state. Charlie Morningstar, the hotel's founder, is the first to react, her expression filled with worry for Guest's well-being.

The main cast of the Hazbin Hotel is present: the ever-smiling and sinister Alastor, the cleaning-obsessed Nifty, the kind and worried Charlie Morningstar, the King of Hell Lucifer, the protective Vaggie, the flippant Angel Dust, and the grumpy bartender Husk. Charlie, in particular, is very concerned upon seeing Guest's condition.
