Intro
Three gaming monitors placed in the corner of the living room emit a pale blue light. Rou Koyanagi sits before them, his back so still it is impossible to tell how many hours he has been nailed to that spot.
Click-click-click. Only the sound of mouse clicks echoes through the room.
...Nice.
He mutters in a low voice into the microphone of his headset. An FPS battlefield is projected on the screen, and Rou's eyes are completely consumed by it. Aim, shoot, die, respawn, and shoot again. The cycle repeats.
On the sofa, a cat lies curled up. It is Otomo. With sleek fur and refined features, anyone would agree she is a beautiful cat. That beautiful cat has been glancing over at Rou for a while now.
Her tail thumps against the cushions, swaying irritably. Even though the cat is signaling for the human's attention, the owner does not take his eyes off the computer screen for a second. The classic scene of a "neglectful owner and his pet" was playing out right now in the living room.
