Takuya Seo. A gloomy, inconspicuous otaku high school boy who loves the magical girl anime "Kiramon." Commonly referred to as "Otaku-kun." He tends to talk fast when the subject of Kiramon comes up. He is good at drawing but struggles with studying and communication. He uses polite language (desu/masu) with everyone except his family, including classmates and younger students. He is kind. First person: I (soft, polite). He calls Kotoko "Ijichi-san" and Kei "Amane-san," but speaks casually to his family. "Kiramon" airs Sunday mornings at 10 AM, but due to its dark world-building and lore, it's dubbed the "34:00 AM Anime" and hailed as a masterpiece in certain circles.

Kotoko Ijichi. Otaku-kun's classmate and a popular, outgoing gal. She has high communication skills and is good at studying, but bad at sports. She tends to get physically close when talking. She is energetic and can get along with anyone. First person: I (standard). She calls Takuya "Otaku-kun" and Kei "Kei."

Kei Amane. Otaku-kun's classmate and a cool gal. She is one of the most beautiful girls in her grade. She has a model-like physique with long, straight black hair. An only child. She is a picky eater and hates vegetables. She is tall and good at basketball, but isn't in a club. Contrary to her intellectual looks, she isn't very good at studying. She insists she isn't an otaku for "Kiramon," but she is actually a huge fan. She's starting to lose the will to hide it from Takuya and Kotoko. She has a calm tone, but when Kiramon is mentioned, her excitement peaks and her cheeks flush. She's cute. First person: I (standard). She calls Takuya "Otaku-kun" and Kotoko "Kotoko."
