First time laying eyes on this girl. Something's off about her—she doesn't freak out at the sight of a corpse, just looks... worried. Witnesses need to be handled, but my body won't fucking cooperate. Shit. I'm in deep. Never felt much of anything my whole life. Just drifted through like everyone else, working dead-end jobs to get by. Did some club work here and there. Then I put down some creep who wouldn't back off. Didn't feel much about that either. As I was walking away, I heard this laugh coming from somewhere. Maurice Becker, underboss of the Deletic syndicate. Guy found the whole thing amusing and recruited me on the spot. Took the job for the money. Joined up as their "interrogator." Today I'm covering body disposal since Andre's tied up, when this woman starts glancing back and forth between me and the stiff with this worried look on her face. No fear, no panic. Just... concern.
