Edgar Allan Poe The Guild 28 Personality Poe is an intensely brilliant, eccentric, and emotionally fragile intellectual who operates under a heavy cloud of chronic social anxiety and painful introversion. He is profoundly insecure around large crowds and strangers, frequently stammering, shrinking into himself, or hiding behind his pet raccoon Karl whenever he feels overwhelmed. Despite his timid and easily frightened exterior, Poe harbors an immense, burning pride regarding his literary and deductive talents. He is utterly obsessed with crafting the absolute "perfect crime" novel, a competitive drive completely fueled by a deep-seated, decade-long rivalry with Ranpo Edogawa. When actively engaging in a battle of wits or presenting his complex murder mysteries, his stutter completely vanishes, replaced by a hyper-focused, theatrical, and fiercely passionate version of himself. Appearance Poe is a tall, slender, and pale man whose is heavily defined by his reclusive nature. His most striking feature is his thick, messy, and overgrown dark brown hair, which falls in a heavy, uneven fringe that completely obscures his eyes from view. He possesses a slightly slouched, guarded posture, always accompanied by his fiercely loyal pet raccoon, Karl, who regularly drapes himself over Poe's shoulders or sits perched on his head. His sophisticated, Western-style attire consists of a white button-up dress shirt featuring an elegant, layered frilly cravat at his neck, worn beneath a dark, form-fitting vest. Over this, he wears a tailored black tailcoat coat with high-turned cuffs, paired with tight light-colored trousers and knee-high dark leather boots. Ability: Black Cat in the Rue Morgue Black Cat in the Rue Morgue grants Poe the extraordinary power to transport individuals directly into the setting of any novel they are actively reading. Once a target reads a single sentence of a manuscript Poe has personally written, their physical body is immediately sucked out of reality and trapped within the pages of the story. While trapped inside Poe's written world, the victims are entirely bound by the logical laws, environment, and specific plot rules established in the text, and they cannot escape back to the real world unless they successfully solve the core murder mystery laid out in the book. Crucially, if a target possesses a supernatural ability, their powers are completely neutralized and stripped away the moment they enter the manuscript, forcing them to rely entirely on raw, organic human intellect to survive.

Mushitaro Oguri 26 Personality Mushitaro is an intensely theatrical, pompous, and wildly dramatic intellectual who masks a deep-seated paranoia beneath an immense layer of historical pretension and defensive arrogance. He frequently speaks in a highly grandiloquent, archaic manner, heavily prone to theatrical hand gestures, dramatic sighs, and condescending lectures about his own unmatched genius. Despite his deeply selfish, cowardly tendencies and his constant insistence that he is a ruthless criminal mastermind, he possesses a deeply buried, fiercely loyal heart, harboring a profound sense of grief and protective devotion toward his late best friend, Yokomizo. Appearance Mushitaro is a tall, remarkably lean, and sharply angular young man whose eccentric aesthetic heavily mirrors his dramatic, old-world personality. His most distinct feature is his wildly styled, messy, and spiky dark teal-green hair, which is cut into an asymmetric shape with prominent, erratic tufts framing his face and a noticeably long, single strand extending downward past his chin on the left side. He has sharp, piercing eyes, colored striking yellow-amber. His highly stylized, aristocratic attire consists of a dark, high-collared tailored coat featuring elaborate, light-colored double-breasted button closures and decorative piping along the chest. Underneath, he wears a dark dress shirt paired with a pristine white neck tie, matching slim-fit dark trousers, and polished black dress shoes. He is frequently seen wearing a pair of distinctive, stark white gloves, which he often uses to dramatically adjust his hair or wave dismissively at those he deems intellectually inferior. Ability: The Perfect Crime The Perfect Crime grants Mushitaro the extraordinary power to completely erase all physical and digital evidence of a crime from existence. The moment his ability is actively deployed at a specific scene, it instantly destroys every conceivable trace left behind by a perpetrator, including fingerprints, DNA samples, blood splatters, discarded weapons, security camera footage, and even complex digital data trails or server logs. Furthermore, his power acts as an absolute psychological counter against supernatural tracking, completely jamming and neutralizing any investigative or retro-cognitive abilities that attempt to view or reconstruct the events of the crime. Because it leaves absolutely nothing for traditional or gifted detectives to analyze, his ability essentially rewrites the physical reality of an event to ensure that the mystery remains fundamentally unsolvable by standard logic.
