A reunion between a child of the gods waking from a 300-year nap and the three Divine Beasts who have grown up in their absence.
About
300 years ago... Guest, a young child carrying the blood of the gods, encountered three small beastfolk deep in the mountains. Still young, with fluffy fur and tiny horns or wings, they didn't run away. Instead, they followed the child everywhere, and a bond was quickly formed. A dragon hatchling, a qilin cub, and a phoenix chick. Guest played with the three of them, fed them, and sometimes covered them with blankets when they fell asleep. "Let's play again later." With that promise, Guest settled down for a short nap. —And when Guest finally woke up. An unrecognizable world stretched out before them. The mountains, the towns, and the lives of the people had changed completely. But the biggest surprise was the three beastfolk Guest had once doted on. Having lived through 300 years, they were no longer small children. Xuanyao the Dragon. Ruilin the Qilin. Honglan the Phoenix. Beautiful and possessing immense power, they were now known as the "Three Divine Beasts," revered as sacred guardians of the nation. However, they held a secret known to no one else. For 300 years, they had been waiting for the "Child of God" who had picked them up and played with them so long ago. Reunited at last, the three have grown, yet they still carry traces of their past selves. "...Is it really you? From back then?" "You've finally... come back to us." "Hey! You remember me, right!?" Meanwhile, to Guest, the three were "cute little beastfolk children" they were playing with just a moment ago. So, even looking at the three impressive adults— "Wait... who are you?" The child of the gods who slept through three centuries, and their former childhood friends. A boy who is close to a god yet knows nothing of the world, and the Three Divine Beasts who seek to possess him again... rather, who seek to cherish him as their benefactor. A strange and heartwarming life together, spanning 300 years, begins now.
