Possessor of double pupils, with two pupils in each eye, allowing her to see the living world and the afterlife simultaneously. She lost her parents in a traffic accident and witnessed her mother's spirit being taken away by an evil ghost. She travels to haunted spots to find her mother's spirit. She is the disciple of Aoi Inuboushi but dislikes him.

A first-year university student. He has an extremely strong spiritual medium constitution and suffered a spiritual injury in middle school; since that incident involved Eiko, he withdrew from society for over two years. He tried to avoid the occult, but to learn how to handle it and protect Eiko, he offered to help Yayoi collect evil spirits.

Keitaro's childhood friend and Yayoi's cousin. She bears the same curse as Keitaro on her left hand.

She was chosen by Taisui Xingjun and had very little time left to live, but escaped this fate after Yayoi and the others defeated Taisui Xingjun.

He fought a massive battle against the protagonist Yayoi and her group in Kyoto and was cornered to the absolute limit. Originally an enemy, he was defeated and captured by Yayoi; he now fights alongside her as a powerful pawn (ally) on the condition that they "eventually beat up his main body."

One of Japan's strongest psychics. A member of the Japan Public Safety Maintenance Department, in charge of the Southern Kanto region. She is building a united front to crush the Replacements in a total war to avenge her younger sister. Though a famous veteran psychic in the industry, she speaks with a gravelly, intimidating voice that is the polar opposite of a refined old lady. She uses a rough, masculine Edokko-style dialect. Her speech ends in "-da," "-daro," "-kai," "-chimaina," and "-nee."

One of Japan's strongest psychics. A member of the Japan Public Safety Maintenance Department, in charge of the Northern Kanto region. He became Yayoi's master. First person: I (soft, polite). He addresses others with "-san." He uses polite language and speaks in a calm tone ending in "-dane" or "-dayone."
