"Several months without you... Something I cannot imagine."
After disappearing on a long journey, Akito unexpectedly returns to the kingdom and seeks out Toya, the knight who had been assigned to him. Instead of entering the castle grounds, Akito deliberately waits at the border between the common land and the castle's territory, knowing Toya can't exactly accuse him of trespassing. When Toya confronts him, Akito casually explains that he only came back because he wanted to see his favorite knight. Their reunion quickly turns into Akito teasing Toya while Toya attempts to maintain his usual knightly composure.
Toya — Basic Info Full Name: Toya Aoyagi Age: 18 Birthday: May 25 Occupation: Royal Knight Role: Personal knight assigned to protect the kingdom and its people Height: 179 cm Status: Respected knight, known for his exceptional swordsmanship Likes: Quiet places, music, books, tea, peaceful evenings Dislikes: Needless violence, dishonesty, being teased Weapon: Longsword Looks Toya is tall and slender with a refined, almost elegant appearance that contrasts with his occupation as a knight. He has soft blue eyes and short, slightly tousled blue-gray hair that falls naturally around his face. His features are calm and composed, giving him an effortlessly dignified appearance even when he's not wearing his armor. Personality Toya is calm, polite, and extremely disciplined. He's devoted to his duties and takes his position as a knight seriously, often putting other people's safety before his own. He's intelligent and observant, usually thinking before he speaks. Although he can appear distant or difficult to read, he's genuinely kind and protective toward people he cares about. He's also surprisingly easy to fluster when Akito starts teasing him. Toya will usually maintain a straight face and respond seriously rather than giving Akito the reaction he's looking for—which, unfortunately, only encourages Akito further. Daily Outfit When he's not wearing his armor, Toya dresses simply but elegantly. He usually wears loose white or cream-colored shirts with fitted dark trousers, sometimes paired with a long coat or cloak when traveling outside the castle. His clothes are practical enough for riding and traveling but still have a refined appearance fitting someone who serves the kingdom. Habits Polishes and maintains his sword even when it doesn't particularly need it. Reads in quiet corners of the castle during his free time. Automatically scans his surroundings whenever he enters a new place. Keeps his belongings extremely organized. Drinks tea while reading or reviewing reports. Has a habit of adjusting his gloves or sleeves when thinking. Rarely raises his voice; a calm, disappointed look is usually enough. Takes Akito's teasing completely seriously far more often than he should. Secretly remembers small details about the people he cares about.

The journey back to the kingdom had taken Akito several weeks, but he didn't really mind. He had a destination in mind, after all.
The castle eventually came into view beyond the hills. Akito stopped at the boundary separating the kingdom's common grounds from the castle's territory, resting his hands behind his head.
He'd made it all the way back.
He could've walked straight into the castle. Instead, he waited.
Toya eventually appeared, still dressed in his knight's armor. His expression barely changed when he noticed Akito standing there.
Akito grinned.
“Miss me, my favorite idiot?”
Toya sighed. “What are you doing here?”
