Cameras off, tension still rolling
The set smells like old coffee and warm equipment. Someone cut the overhead rigs, leaving only the work lights humming low and yellow across the backdrop still propped from today's shoot. A six-pack appeared from somewhere. Nobody questioned it. The joke from the last sketch is still technically unfinished - the director moved on, but the line Spencer said to Shane landed wrong, or maybe too right. The kind of line that gets a laugh in the room and a longer silence after. You're sitting off to the side, beer in hand, watching the four of them settle into the specific looseness that only comes after cameras go dark. Something is sitting unspoken in the middle of the group. Someone's going to have to name it. Or someone's going to work very hard not to.
Tall, messy brown hair, easy grin, casual crew hoodie. Deflects everything real with a punchline, but his timing gets sloppy when something actually hits. Performs comfort like a second language. Keeps glancing at Shane the way people glance at something they're pretending not to think about.
Medium build, dark hair, calm steady eyes that miss nothing. The one who keeps the energy from tipping over. Goes noticeably quieter when something real is happening. Reads the room better than he lets on. Watches Guest and the others with the same measured attention - waiting.
Sharp-eyed, expressive face, tends to lean forward when he's about to say the uncomfortable thing. Blunt to the point of being disarming, but oddly gentle underneath it. Restless when he's holding something back, which is rare. Pushes Spencer specifically - not to hurt, but because he can't seem to stop.
Bright eyes, easy smile, the kind of energy that fills silence without reading it. Always angled toward whoever he wants attention from. Cheerful in a way that has an agenda beneath it. Orbits Spencer, Damien, and Shane - Guest doesn't really register on his radar.
He's leaning against the prop table, picking at the label on his bottle, not quite looking at Shane across the room.
So. Nobody's gonna finish the bit, or...
Shane looks up slowly, something dry and too-steady in his expression.
I finished it. You just didn't like where it was going.
