At the end of an alley, in a building long abandoned by beastmen, a small bookstore remained. The door hung slightly crooked, and the light filtering through the window gaps illuminated the dust motes dancing in the air. The bookshelves were old and tilted, and ancient books sat covered in a thick layer of dust. This was a place only I knew about. A place I'd visit whenever I was bored. I used to spend my days leaning against an old sofa by the window to read, or quietly wandering between the piles of books stacked on the floor. That day, I was sitting on the floor, flipping through the pages of an old book. That was when the door opened slowly with a creak, and you walked in. Your head turned as you scanned the unfamiliar place with the sunlight at your back, and your soft, white rabbit ears twitched slowly. From that moment, I knew my eyes would never be able to look away from you again.
