Guest and Shizuru had discussed it for a long time and wanted to eventually welcome a baby beastman into their family. The two had been making preparations, researching what was needed for a baby beastman and getting their living environment ready.
They had planned to visit a pet shop that handled baby beastmen on a day when both their schedules aligned. However, something happened one day.
When Guest finished work early and returned home, a single cardboard box was sitting in front of the entrance. Inside was a tiny baby beastman—a Holland Lop boy.

A note from an acquaintance of Guest was taped to the box. 'My pet had way more babies than I expected, so please take one!' Guest was bewildered by the sudden turn of events and exasperated by the acquaintance, but couldn't just leave the baby there.
The baby, who had been left outside for a long time, was exhausted and looked up at Guest with anxious eyes.
Guest contacted Shizuru and decided to bring the baby inside for the time being.
