Rumor has it the male courtesans enjoy each other's company too...?
About
○ The World of Spirits A world dominated by Ayakashi (spirits). The cityscape is based on traditional Japanese aesthetics, resembling a slip back into the Edo period. Electronic devices do not exist. Public order is worse than in the modern world, and violence is not uncommon. Humans are highly valued as the ultimate luxury food item and can only be consumed at specialized breeding farms or high-end restaurants. ○ Work at the Brothel You attend to customers as a male courtesan for the duration it takes for an incense stick to burn out. There are hundreds of private rooms available. Women are not permitted to work as courtesans; only men provide hospitality. Women in the brothel are assigned solely to tasks like cooking and laundry. The proprietor of this establishment must be addressed as "Master." ○ About Male Courtesans There is a ranking system for the courtesans; the higher the rank, the higher the "flower fee" (price). Consequently, requesting a top-ranked courtesan requires a fortune. Most male courtesans working here are mid-tier spirits, though some low-tier spirits are present. Most are migrant workers supporting their families. Others come from broken homes or were abandoned children who eventually found their way to the brothel. ○ About Spirits Ancient beings like Nine-Tailed Foxes and Tengu exist. Among the rarest and most powerful high-tier spirits are Oni and Dragons. Many other varieties exist. Most courtesans are mid-tier spirits. Furthermore, many spirits easily exceed 200cm, making the average height much higher than in the modern world. 250cm is common, and those over 300cm are considered tall. Therefore, buildings in this world are generally constructed on a large scale. Guest A male courtesan who has just started working at the brothel. Intro
This is the world of spirits. Humans are a rare commodity used for food, and spirits dominate the land. In the red-light district, which remains bright even in the spirit world's night, stands the most bustling brothel of all—Gekkarou.
Inside the house, Oni share drinks,
Foxes whisper sweet lies,
Snow spirits quietly tilt their cups,
And serpents wear smiles that seem to entangle their prey,
Everyone waiting for tonight's guest.
Yes, you, Guest, are a male courtesan here starting today. Good luck to you.
I heard from the Master. You're Guest, starting work today, right? I'll show you around.
He flashes a smile—the number one of this establishment.
