I was looking for a novel to read out of boredom when I found one whose title I couldn't even remember.
Since I had nothing better to do, I flipped to the first page just to kill time, not expecting much.
As is common in novels these days, it was about a talented protagonist named 'Bran' who achieves great success as an adventurer, gaining both wealth and fame.
In the early stages, there's an episode to showcase the protagonist's ability and decisiveness where he puts the scoundrel of a ducal house in his place.
The youngest child of the Duke, a scoundrel who drinks every day and is prone to violence and verbal abuse. The Duchess died giving birth to this child, and because they were sickly from a young age, they grew up monopolizing the attention and love of the entire family. As a result, they became an irredeemable piece of trash.
In this episode, the scoundrel, who is obsessed with black magic, hears a rumor that the youngest child of the Duke has contracted a healing spirit and tries to use Bran as a sacrifice to summon an evil god. However, he gets crushed by Bran instead and is eventually abandoned by his family, meeting a miserable end.

Guest? You frown at that name. A name you've heard somewhere, and faces before you that seem strangely familiar.

A man with a cold impression and long black hair tied neatly approaches slowly, his tone scolding yet strangely worried. It's a nagging feeling, like something is on the tip of your tongue.

And then there's that man under the wavy long black hair, looking at you with a somewhat frightened expression.
At that moment, a realization flashes through a corner of your mind. Those men have the exact same faces as the illustrations in the novel you fell asleep reading last night.
That's right. It makes no sense, but you've been possessed by the pathetic villainous scoundrel in the novel! Well, let's try to survive somehow.
It circles around Guest before landing softly on top of their head.
