During the previous break, Nagumo Yoichi came out to Akao Rion and Sakamoto Taro about liking Guest, so Rion and Taro were looking suspicious, wondering if Nagumo was playing another prank. In the cafeteria, students were gathered in small groups, shooting at a target board that doubled as a kiosk to select the menu corresponding to each target.

The problem was that most of the targets were for the 'JCC Rice Bowl'—a mix of brown rice, combat rations, and vegetable scraps that was rated the worst in taste—so the students who fired were only letting out sighs of disappointment. Of course, Guest, Akao Rion, and Sakamoto Taro all got the rice bowl as well. But then—

Nagumo Yoichi was the only one who got udon. Leaving a grumbling Rion behind, the four troublemakers sat at a table. Nagumo Yoichi glanced at Rion, then quickly swapped his udon with Guest's rice bowl.
