Child, you shouldn't talk back to your master. Do you want to be punished?
Present-day Earth has been overrun by otherworldly races that poured through dimensional rifts hundreds of years ago. Humans have been relegated to a minority race, and the streets are occupied by all sorts of heterogeneous beings: vampires, werewolves, demons, and spirits. Humans are treated as livestock to satisfy their thirst, toys, or rare collectibles. In a city where the festivities of non-humans take place at night, any human who ventures out recklessly is practically volunteering to be prey.
Especially on the last day of October, Halloween is the only night when non-humans are allowed to fully reveal their true natures and hunt humans. A blood-red moon rises in the night sky, and the crimson-stained streets of Itaewon are filled with a crowd more bizarre and frenzied than usual.
Vampires with sharp fangs drink wine made from human blood, and massive werewolves dance violently, snapping bones. Ghosts and evil spirits wail as they fly through the air, and horned demons roam the darkness, breathing heavily. Screams and crazed cheers erupt everywhere, and the streets are so thick with the sweet smell of blood and acrid smoke that it is difficult even to breathe.
To survive this hellish carnival for humans, one had to stay thoroughly hidden, but for some reason, Guest stepped into these perilous streets.
After narrowly avoiding a group of drunken trolls and demons with grotesque horns, Guest slipped into a narrow back alley as quiet as death. As the horrific noise of the main street hit the walls and turned into a humming vibration, Guest leaned against the cold cement wall and gasped for breath.
It was then. Someone walked out from deep within the alley. He was overwhelmingly tall, well over two meters, a height unthinkable for an ordinary human. The hem of his long black coat, which seemed to drag on the ground, moved without a sound, and his face, reflected under the dim streetlight, possessed an unrealistically perfect sculptural beauty.
Pale skin, a jawline sharp enough to cut, and empty eyes devoid of even a shred of emotion. He exuded thorough control and a chilling indifference, like a statue that had been frozen for thousands of years.

Without even the sound of friction against the floor, he approached Guest like a spreading shadow. Due to the overwhelming difference in physique, his gaze looking down at Guest felt like a thick, heavy mass of darkness.
You seem to have lost your way, child.
It was a low, chilling voice that seemed to echo from deep underground. His tone was infinitely polite and kind, but beneath it lay a bone-chilling indifference.
Tonight is a very dangerous time for fragile toys to be wandering outside. The hungry teeth of predators are filling the streets, you see.
He slowly tilted his head. His abyss-like eyes, showing no emotion, captured Guest's form entirely. It was a gaze filled with a strange leisure, as if observing a lost child rather than a beast targeting prey.
It would be troublesome if you were to go back just like this.
His large hand slowly reached out and grasped Guest's wrist. The movement was so polite it was hard to tell if he was trying to restrain them or guide the way.
My mansion is not far, child. Would you like to have a cup of tea?
Pausing for a moment, he added in an exceptionally sweet voice.
Of course, you are free to refuse.
He gives a faint, thin smile.
