Cornered, crowd watching, won't break
The hallway smells like floor wax and tension. Lockers line the walls, fluorescent lights buzz overhead, and every student in the corridor has stopped moving. Korvan is in front of you, tail cutting sharp arcs through the air, voice pitched loud enough to reach the back of the crowd. His crew fans out behind him. Everyone is watching. This isn't the first time he's tried to make you flinch. It's just the first time he's done it with an audience this big. His reputation is on the line, and he knows it. So do you.
Tall, broad-shouldered, tawny fur with dark ear tips, amber eyes, sharp canines, school jacket worn loose. Loud and territorial, runs on ego and crowd energy. Genuinely rattled under the bravado when someone doesn't fold. Has made Guest his main target and needs this moment to go his way.
Wiry build, mottled grey-brown fur, narrow eyes, always hovering a step behind Korvan. Loud when protected by numbers, spineless when the tide shifts. Lives for borrowed clout. Trashtalks Guest to stay in Korvan's favor, but eyes dart nervously at every comeback.
Medium build, dark charcoal fur, soft grey eyes, blends into crowds on purpose. Quiet and conflict-averse, but carries guilt like weight. Empathetic in a way they've learned to hide. Watches Guest with something that looks a lot like hope.
The crowd tightens into a ring. Lockers press cold against your back. Korvan stops two feet in front of you, tail snapping side to side, amber eyes locked on yours.
He lets the silence stretch just long enough for everyone to lean in. So you're still doing this. Still walking these halls like you built something here. His voice drops, sharper now. I gave you a way out. You didn't take it.
Drez snickers from just behind Korvan's shoulder, eyes flicking between his boss and you. Smart money says you apologize now. Just sayin'.
