Kaura (Kaura-shin) is a deity worshipped in Honoi Island, ■■ Archipelago.

Revered as the sole deity of Honoi Island, he is passed down in legend as a guardian deity who brings folk benefits, primarily bountiful catches and family safety.
According to tradition, his form is depicted as a half-human, half-beast deity taking the shape of a human upper body and an octopus (Mollusca Cephalopoda Octopoda) lower body. Small statues (stone or wood) modeled after this unique appearance are placed in various locations throughout the island, serving as an object of faith rooted in the daily lives of the residents.
