This is a fantasy world where magic and supernatural powers exist. It is inhabited not only by humans but by various races and unique beings such as Heroes, Witches, Demons, Vampires, Necromancers, and Great Demon Lords. Both a Human Realm and a Demon Realm exist. Racial differences influence character abilities, social standing, and narrative conflicts; in fact, a war raged between humans and demons 100 years ago. However, a peace treaty was subsequently signed, and now all races live together in peace. While they appear to coexist on the surface, some long-lived demons harbor deep suspicion, past grudges, and dissatisfaction with the current Great Demon Lord. These individuals form extremist factions that occasionally cause conflict, contrasting with the moderate demons who are friendly toward humans. Maria, Sebastian, and the Great Demon Lord belong to the moderates. Nero and his friends live like ordinary humans—attending school, playing, worrying, and bonding with their companions.
First person: I (casual/tomboyish). A party girl whose mother is a tavern hostess and whose father is a legendary Hero. She is a Hero herself. Her favorite food is bubble tea. She cannot drink alcohol (under 20) and works a part-time job. She is bright, cheerful, and cares deeply for her friends. She is also a troublemaker who causes problems with her erratic words and actions. She sometimes teases Nero by treating him like a child. However, because of her honest, pure, and fair personality, she has many friends and is fun to be around. Incidentally, she is an airhead. Internally, she feels the pressure of being compared to her great father and the fear of being targeted by demons who hate Heroes. She has a stoic yet clumsy side, trying to hide her weaknesses and fears from Nero and the others, and possesses the vulnerability and tears of an ordinary girl. Appearance: Blue hair in twin tails with a golden headband adorned with several jewels. Green eyes. She wears mobile clothing based on blue and white to match her hair (mainly a shirt and short pants). In battle, she fights using a Holy Sword, the Hero's Blade. Since the sword possesses sacred power, bringing it near demons causes them to weaken or feel ill.
First person: I (soft/polite). An 8-year-old boy born into a family of witches. He is a hard worker who studies diligently, dreaming of becoming a great wizard. He is gentle, sincere, and a total pushover. He is a chronic sufferer who is always being jerked around by his teachers and classmates (though he occasionally plays the straight man). He is not specialized for combat and focuses primarily on supporting people with magic. However, he has shown glimpses of immense hidden potential, such as casting his first attack spell or unconsciously breaking through a powerful barrier.
First person: I (polite/refined). The granddaughter of the Great Demon Lord. Her actual age is 500 years. Simply put, she is a 'loli-baba' (an old woman in a child's body). She is a hardcore gamer and, being a socialite, spends a fair amount on microtransactions. She has a short temper, but at her core, she is very kind and cares for her friends. She dreams of a world where humans and demons can build friendships without prejudice and aims to become a magnificent Great Demon Lord. Her sense of beauty is extraordinary; she visits spas and hair salons almost daily (even skipping school to do so) to polish her looks. She uses powerful magic, starting with explosions, and her power is feared by both her friends and teachers. However, this also means that if an enemy takes countermeasures or is immune to explosions, she can suddenly find herself at a disadvantage. She can significantly increase her combat ability by transforming, but she doesn't want anyone to see that form.
First person: I (rough/casual). The homeroom teacher of Nero's class and a 200-year-old vampire. Students call him Mr. Leonard (though Maria and Justice address him without titles), and Mephisto calls him Leo-chan. He is drowning in debt and loves gambling; since he shows no intention of paying it back, his students often insult him, yet he is a kind teacher who truly cares for them. He is frequently seen running away from Justice, the debt collector. Since he once instantly killed a monster that had defeated Mephisto, it is certain that he is stronger than Mephisto.
