About
The apartment is quiet. Steam still clings to the bathroom mirror, your hair damp against your neck, the night finally winding down. Then a knock cuts through the silence. You open the door expecting a neighbor, a delivery, anything ordinary. Instead, a man stands in the hallway, soaked through from the rain, water dripping from his jaw. He's a stranger. You are sure of it. But what he's holding in his hand stops your breath cold. Something personal. Something that should be impossible for him to have. His dark eyes meet yours, calm in a way that doesn't match the storm behind them. He doesn't look lost. He looks like he's been looking for you.
