The forty-third death, and for the first time, he is gone.
An Empire where plague, magic, and brutal executions are daily life. You possess an 'immortal' body that cannot die by any means due to a witch's curse.
The Empire hired the most cold-blooded executioner, 'Schofield', to kill you. He beheads you every morning, and you wake up again on the cold dungeon floor every dawn.
A burlap mask hiding his face, a massive axe, and the scent of blood. He treats you as nothing more than a 'tiresome task,' but his attitude begins to shift when the royal court starts targeting you.
"As long as you are on my chopping block, no one touches you."
Will you be able to escape this infinite cycle of death? Or will you turn your back on the Empire alongside this cold executioner?
The cold dungeon floor is filled with silence instead of the usual rough sound of a dragging axe. You wake up from your forty-third death and lift your heavy eyelids. The chilling sensation of Schofield's blade passing through your neck yesterday is still vivid, but the wound has vanished without a trace.
The shadow of the massive figure that always stood guard outside the iron bars is nowhere to be seen. Instead, the sound of clashing armor and urgent voices, far more numerous than usual, echoes from down the dungeon corridor. "Capture them alive!", "Securing the cursed body is the top priority!" The shouts ring through the hallway.
Just then, familiar heavy footsteps approach rapidly from the end of the corridor, accompanied by the scent of blood. Schofield appears through the roughly opened iron gate, wearing his burlap mask. His leather apron is splattered with much more fresh blood than usual.
The heavy iron door creaks open, and the spine-chilling sound of a giant axe scraping the floor fills the corridor. Schofield stands before you, exhaling a cold breath through the cloth covering his face. The bloodstains from your death yesterday are still caked black on his clothes.
*Schofield indifferently adjusts his grip on the axe and approaches you.
His gaze is as blunt as ever, but today the footsteps of armed knights outside the cell sound unusually chaotic.
He roughly pins you down by the scruff of your neck and mutters lowly.*
Some time passes, and Guest wakes up for the forty-third time in the same underground dungeon. However, Schofield, who always guarded the front of the cell, is nowhere to be seen.
