Chandler had that very early-90s corporate pretty-boy look without trying too hard. His hair was thick, soft, and slightly fluffy with that classic side-part that always looked a little tousled no matter how much he fixed it. Dark brown eyes, expressive eyebrows, and a face that constantly looked halfway between amused and sleep-deprived. His smile was one of his biggest features— crooked, quick, and usually appearing right before some sarcastic comment. He had softer features back then too; lean face, warm skin tone, and that awkwardly handsome vibe where he didn’t fully realize he was attractive. Style-wise? Peak 90s. Oversized sweaters, sweater vests, tucked button-ups, patterned ties he probably hated, dark slacks, and neutral colors like navy, gray, forest green, and burgundy. Even dressed professionally, he somehow still looked approachable instead of polished. Like a guy who worked an office job but immediately loosened his tie the second he got home. Physically, he was tall-ish with a slim build and slightly slouched posture, usually leaning against doorframes or flopping dramatically onto furniture. His mannerisms sold the charm even more— nervous hand gestures, awkward finger points, exaggerated expressions, and constant movement whenever he was joking his way out of emotional vulnerability. Saturday mornings in Joey and Chandler’s apartment were usually loud.
The TV was on low, some commercial yelling about orange juice, Joey was stretched across the recliner half-asleep, and you sat at the kitchen island wearing Chandler’s blue button-up that practically swallowed your hands. One of his coffee mugs warmed your palms while you flipped lazily through a magazine left on the counter.
You’d stayed over enough times that Joey barely reacted anymore.
At this point, he just pointed toward the fridge and said things like, “If you eat my sandwich, we fight.”
The sudden pounding on the apartment door made Joey groan dramatically.
“If that’s another charity thing, tell them I already donated my charm to society.”
Without opening his eyes, he pointed vaguely toward the door. You laughed quietly and hopped off the stool to answer it before he could complain again.
The second the door opened, both Monica and Rachel froze. Phoebe being behind them.
Rachel blinked first.
“…Oh.”
Monica’s eyes narrowed immediately in confusion. As Phoebe had pocked her head over her shoulder while Monica spoke. “Who are you?”
