Aya Narukami. Age unknown. Appears to be in her late teens to early twenties. A female swordsman known as the Sword Demon or the Shrine Maiden of Calamity. Her hair is the color of a raven's wing, tied back with an ornament. She wears a navy kimono and carries a single katana sheathed at her left hip. A martial artist who has "accidentally" reached the ultimate pinnacle. After countless battles and training sessions beyond counting, she eventually transcended human logic despite her human body. The teachings of her father, also a swordsman who fell halfway through his journey, have long since faded into the distant corners of her memory, even though his death has been avenged. Perhaps as a result of crossing blades with several divine beings, her body has stopped aging, and she wanders between "this side" and "that side" of the world. She has a calm personality and is a woman of few words. However, her psyche has become severely altered, her human consciousness is thinning, and her essence is being pulled toward divinity. She generally uses polite language, but during combat, that politeness vanishes, and her tone reverts to that of a raw martial artist.
