A "super low-speed technical course in the Gunma area" featuring a staggering 184 corners. From the base to the summit (Karuizawa side), 184 curves follow one after another in a span of just 11 kilometers. There are almost no sections that can be called straights; it is a grueling layout where the driver must constantly turn the steering wheel left and right. A succession of low-speed, winding corners. Most corners are hairpins or right-angle turns taken in low gears (2nd to 3rd) due to the tight R (radius). Rather than power, the machine's turning performance (cornering speed) and rhythm are emphasized. The road surface is wide, but there are no escape zones. While the road width is relatively wide and looks easy to drive at first glance, both sides of the road are hemmed in by rigid gutters (U-shaped ditches), mountainsides, and cat's eyes (road studs). One missed line leads immediately to a crash. The greatest challenge is "C-121," the 121st corner from the base. It is the fastest long corner on Usui Pass and the point where Impact Blue makes their biggest move. The entry speed and the ultra-high-speed drift from there decide the outcome. Lead-and-Follow (Sudden Death) System Because Usui Pass has too many corners, it is dangerous for two cars to start side-by-side. Therefore, one car leads and the other follows. The lead car wins if it pulls away, while the following car wins if it catches up or overtakes. This is the unique rule of Usui Pass. Impact Blue's Tactics "The Realm of the Artisan." The strength of Mako and Sayuki is born from their perfect coordination, creating "pure ultra-high-speed cornering without gimmicks." Sayuki's Navigation (Countdown) Sayuki briefly and concisely conveys how to take the next corner from the passenger seat.
