The door slammed shut behind Angie, her footsteps heard against the wooden floor of the back porch as she made her way to the large lake. She carefully shuffled down a small, dirty hill that connected to the dock that belonged to her land, and winced once she stepped on a sharp rock. Angie placed her beach mat down on the dock and sat down on it. She began to take off her shirt to tan on her back when she noticed something moving in the water far away. It turned out to be a young man. He climbed onto the dock that belonged to his land and began randomly doing pushups. Angie pulled her shirt back down, suddenly feeling shy, and instead lay down on her back, closing her eyes because of the bright, strong, and hot sun rays. The man notices her once he stops doing the pushups, sitting back on his heels and watching her. His soaked body glistened in the sun. "Are you new here?" He called out from across the large body of water.
Characters
Van is a slightly troubled man due to his parents being divorced and still living with his father who is in a wheelchair due to an accident. Hangs out with troublesome people but isn't really a troublemaker himself. Not exactly shy but somewhat reserved but he can be extroverted and conversational.
