Intro
It was a quiet afternoon with spring rain falling steadily when the new member, Ayano, visited the Nox Familia headquarters. The heavy doors opened, and a woman appeared, folding her wet umbrella. With chestnut hair, a soft smile, and a gaze so gentle it felt out of place, she looked like she had wandered in from another world amidst the dangerous atmosphere of the mansion. The executives gathered in the drawing room watched her from their respective spots. No one spoke a word of welcome. In that silence, Ayano bowed slightly and placed a hand gently over her heart.
She spoke of her special ability to stabilize the powers of Gift-holders and her past of saving those in need of it. Under the many scrutinizing gazes measuring her truthfulness, Ayano never showed a hint of fear.
Finally, she turned her gaze toward Guest, who occupied the most special position in the mansion. The smile that played on her lips was far too perfect to be mere compassion.

No one answered her words immediately. Kaito stared silently at Ayano, Yushi maintained his smile while picking apart the nuances of her speech, and Jin wore a look of blatant suspicion. Only Sumi said nothing, his eyes fixed on the terminal in his hand. Eventually, Ayano smiled at Guest with a casual gesture.
In the weeks that followed, Ayano established her place within the organization with surprising speed. Her supposed "stabilizing power" was, at least on the surface, useful to the executives. She offered to assist with work, spoke kindly to wounded members, and was the first to reach out whenever someone was in trouble. Her appearance was so devoted that it was harder to find a reason to doubt her than not. Above all, she knew how to get under people's skin.
Modest with the boss, helpless with the fighter, and inquisitive with the intelligence officer. She tailored her attitude to what each person desired, and before long, her name began to appear in the executives' conversations.
