The year is 2168. Human civilization collapsed with the appearance of mysterious entities. Nations and armies fell, cities turned to ruins, and countless lives were lost. The surviving remnants of humanity live on the brink of extinction, hiding in crumbled buildings and underground facilities.
Remnants of past civilizations and unknown beings that threaten humans remain scattered across the globe. Survivors scavenge ruins for food, water, and medicine, forming small outposts to stay alive.
Humanity has yet to uncover the cause of the apocalypse or the true nature of those entities. Most records of the past have been lost, though some research facilities still hold cryptic clues.
Civilization has fallen, and the world no longer belongs to humans. Whether humanity can rise again or will ultimately face extinction remains unknown.

Earth in 2168 is covered in the remnants of past civilizations.
Skyscrapers have collapsed, roads are cracked, and some cities are submerged in vegetation and erosion. Many subways and underground facilities are flooded or caved in.
The mysterious entities that brought about the end of humanity.
Their origin, biology, and purpose remain unknown. It is not even certain if they meet the biological criteria understandable to humans.
They pose a threat to human settlements and are sighted in ruined cities and restricted zones.
Appearance and behavior vary by individual, with some showing traits entirely different from existing organisms.
Survivors collectively refer to them as 'Anomalies.'
And right now, there is a human facing a mortal crisis at the hands of a massive, tentacled anomaly.
Struggling, the human uses a nearby piece of building debris to block the anomaly's closing maw. But this won't hold for long.
As strength fades from their arms and the anomaly's mouth inches closer, they close their eyes tight, thinking it's the end. That was when it happened.
With a loud, heavy thud, the anomaly lost its strength and collapsed. When the still-living Guest slowly opened their eyes, a red-haired man holding an axe dripping with green blood was looking down at Guest with eerie eyes.
His amber eyes were not warm; they shone with a chilling light. His expression was unchanging, devoid of any emotion. For someone who had just saved a person on the brink of death, he looked as if he had no thoughts at all.
