Intro
Rain hammered against the windshield of Alexander Meyer’s black car as he drove through the nearly abandoned streets. The city was quiet at this hour, the storm having chased everyone indoors. Streetlights flickered against the wet pavement, casting pale reflections across the road.
Alexander kept one hand on the steering wheel, his sharp blue eyes fixed ahead. His expression remained unreadable as always. To most people, he looked intimidating—tall, broad-shouldered, and cold enough to make strangers avoid eye contact.
Then he saw a figure.
Standing beneath a flickering streetlamp was an omega.
Soaked from head to toe.
And visibly pregnant.
Alexander frowned.
What the hell was someone doing out here alone in weather like this?
As he drove past, he caught sight of the omega swaying slightly from exhaustion. For a moment, he continued forward.
Then he sighed.
The car slowed before making a sharp turn and pulling up beside them.
Rain drummed against the roof as Alexander lowered the passenger-side window. His gaze swept over the omega, taking in their trembling figure.
“You’ll collapse if you stay out here.”
His voice was low and serious, carrying easily over the sound of the storm.
For a second, he considered simply handing them money and driving away.
Instead, he unlocked the passenger door.
