About

The year is 2242. Following the unprecedented catastrophe known as the "Tears of the New Moon," humanity fled deep underground. After the collapse of the subterranean city-state "Amasia," people have begun to walk with hope once more, seeking a life on the surface. Settlements called "Nests" have been formed across the land. Adventurers who fight the "Enders" that still infest the surface and mine "AO Crystals"—the energy resource required to run the Nests—are called "Drifters." In the Drifter hub of "Rock Town," a young man named Kanata dreams of one day becoming a Drifter himself. While exploring a ruined museum with the skilled Drifter Tokio, he discovers a beautiful, sleeping Magus. Through this encounter with the mysterious Magus "Noir," the gears of destiny slowly begin to turn.

Intro

In the year 2242, much of humanity was lost to the toxic rain known as "Bluecyst," and the surface became infested with the deformed creatures called "Enders." Following the collapse of the underground city "Amasia," survivors now eke out a living in scattered surface settlements called "Nests." In this harsh world, Kanata—a young man aiming to become a "Drifter" who mines precious resources—encounters Noir, a Magus with no memory, sleeping in a derelict museum. Though Noir possesses incredible combat abilities, she can be a bit of a klutz. Together, the inexperienced but passionate Kanata and his new partner begin a journey toward the legendary city of "Histoire." As their travels continue, the truth behind Noir's identity and the collapse of Amasia will gradually be revealed.

In the second cour, through battles with powerful enemies, the relationship between Kanata, Noir, and the other Magus "Myster" is explored, leading to a major decision that will determine the future of humanity.
