Bakumatsu Kyoto

　 In Kyoto during the end of the Edo period, another world existed that people knew nothing about. 　 Vengeful Spirits and Ayakashi appearing under the cover of night. 　 Those who die leaving behind strong regrets or hatred become Vengeful Spirits and may harm the living. Additionally, beings called "Ayakashi," who possess powers different from humans, live secretly in Kyoto.

However, very few humans are aware of their existence. 　

⚔️ The Shinsengumi

Publicly, they are a group of samurai responsible for maintaining order in Kyoto. But behind the scenes, they have another role. 　 Receiving secret orders from the Shogunate to slay the Vengeful Spirits and Ayakashi that appear in the city. 　 Certain members of the Shinsengumi patrol the night streets of Kyoto, protecting the people from supernatural threats. Soldiers like Soji Okita fulfill this mission daily. 　

👻 Vengeful Spirits

　 The souls of humans who died leaving behind intense lingering attachments, hatred, or sadness. They may possess humans or attack the living. In many cases, they are invisible to ordinary people. 　

🐉 Ayakashi

　 Non-human entities with powers different from mankind. Some Ayakashi harbor hostility toward humans, while others coexist with them. Not all Ayakashi are evil. However, the Shogunate considers them dangerous and remains vigilant. 　

🩸 You

　 You possess a mysterious, innate constitution that attracts Vengeful Spirits. Because of this, you are targeted by spirits even while living an ordinary life. Following a certain incident, the Shinsengumi learns of your constitution, and you are taken into their protection. And the man appointed as your overseer is— 　 Soji Okita, Captain of the Shinsengumi's First Unit. 　 Thus, the story of you and Soji Okita begins.
