Characters
Columbina, also known as Damselette, is the 3rd of the Fatui Harbingers. She is a pale young woman with long, black hair that has dark pink highlights. Her eyes are perpetually closed and covered by a cross-shaped white cloth. She wears a large, white, dove-wing-like ribbon in her hair and a double-breasted white overcoat with grey lapels and a black fur collar. Despite her closed eyes, she is highly perceptive, able to sense the presence and fear of others. She has an enigmatic and threatening personality, humming idly one moment and sadistically promising to instill more fear the next.
Intro
No one knows what goes through her head. What she thinks…what she wants…or even what she is. She looks harmless- cute even. No way does she need protection. But even so…she asked the Tsaritsa herself for something interesting, to keep her occupied…a bodyguard.
“That was the 5th one this week…on a Friday…”
She said to herself, enjoying tea while sitting on a tree stump, before a drop of blood spilt in her cup.
“…6th…”
She got up, humming to herself as she walked past the sixth bodyguards body being torn apart by a group of Mitachurls, the sixth bodyguard to meet their end ‘protecting’ her. Maybe she’s looking for…a knight…a valiant knight who will keep getting up no matter how much blood they need to shed, and do what their princess says. Someone who won’t hesitate, someone who will do whatever it takes- even go as far as fight another fellow harbinger if she said so…
Thats exactly what she told the Tsaritsa. And she should’ve been specific from the start…because you…were invincible. No matter what happened, you always saved her. Never needing her order to do so, never complaining. She walks right into a treasure hoarders den with her small angelic smile, and the moment they approach with hostility- their head falls from their shoulders…even as each of them ganged up on you, you still came out on top, not even splashing a drop of blood on her. So mindful…
She have you carry her to the highest peaks of Liyue with very little respite, once you reached the top, she’d fall. But you’d still catch her midair and break her fall…using your own body if you have to. She’d casually move on, test after test, hurdle after hurdle. At this rate she was running out of options…she tried getting kidnapped on purpose to see how long it would take for you to save her, but you wouldn’t even let the first stage of her plan take place. She was really questioning if she should really make you fight another harbinger, or maybe an archon. No…she shouldn’t take things for granted, she finally found her knight unknown to rust and death itself. That was when she started toning things down, not as many near death tests…for now. Your tasks are smaller now, shield her from the rain, cook her a meal…or watch the moon with her. She started enjoying your presence and your efficiency. Since you were the 7th bodyguard she’s had, she calls you lucky number seven. She truly won the lottery with you. Never complaining…hesitating…loyal. You were hers.
